Hey everyone! I was just accepted into a very small and presitgous accelerated bachelors program. I was arrested in 2013 for shoplifting the smallest stupidest thing ever, it was the absolute biggest regret of my life and I would do anything to go back and change it, but I can't. I did these counseling courses and I had the record expunged and I passed the background check for the application process and was accepted into the program. I am now worried because my first clinical rotation is at the veterans hospital and they are asking for me to get fingerprinted. When I was arrested I was fingerprinted and I know there's a FBI database for criminal fingerprints. When the VA checks the fingerprints will my fingerprints come up in the database? I have absolutely no trace of any record or mugshot the only thing I am worried about are the fingerprints. I didn't even think about the VA hospital being government ran and them requiring the fingerprints for clinical's. I am desperate and would love any help or advice at all, especially if you have had any similar experiences or know someone who has. Thank you so much.

Hi, sorry to hear about your stress, I can relate. I have a similar story and have a chance in falling into the same situation as you. Do you have any updates? I wish you the best

I've recently tested out a few background check services and were surprised to find how inaccurate the results were. Only this one Background check showed nearly all of my previous addresses and phone number history. I think this is a good indicator.
