i had planned on taking the beginnings in micro as that was all there was previously, now i am not sure if it is enough. i am applying to absn programs, and just wanted some opinions on which seems more like what their pre reqs are. i emailed my admin at my prospective nursing school but they have not replied and i have to be enrolled this week or the class will be filled! thanks for the advise!

I'd take the F240. This course sounds very much like the microbiology I'm taking right now.
Just make sure F240 on your pre-req requirements list. Double check if you have to with your academic adviser.
Thank you for your reply I think that is the one I need, just not sure on the pre req listing for the nursing program it just says A &P I and II, Chemistry, Microbiology and statistics. Not sure if I am taking the right chem class either, but it is a couple classes higher than the lowest level chem so I hope I am ok!

I would be very cautious about taking the beginning micro course. When you apply to aBSN programs they may view the class as a "pre" or "intro" microbiology course and not count it as micro.
Haven't received an email back? CALL them! Also try emailing any other schools you think you might possibly apply to and ask them. It would be good to get a general consensus about the class.
You should enroll in one class ASAP so you at least have a seat secured. Good luck!
Thanks Kitesurfing_bum I enrolled in both just to be sure, and checked with both of my prospective schools offerings in micro and the beginings matched their descriptions perfectly....so that is what I will be taking! Thanks for your help!

I would check the schools that I am applying to see if those transfer to their program.
I wouldn't take any class without confirming with the nursing schools that it is on their required pre-req list.
Its your money and time, use them wisely.
