Hi, I Am Chibuzor By Name. Actually I Have Joined This Forum In Order To Inquire From More Experience Nurses. I Am Intending To Major In Nursing But I Have Little Or No Knowlege Of What It Take But Am Determined Because This Is What I Have Always Wished For. I Am A Graduate And Am Seeking To Seat For The Cgfns Program. I Majored In History In My Undergraduate Program, I Would Like Someone To Please Direct Me On The Best Way To Get Around My Dreams. I Have Correctly Applied For The Cgfns Program / Exams But Without Any Degree On Nursing? Is That Ok Or Is There A Better Way To Go About It. I Am Considering Enrolling For A Degree Program But That Is If I Do Not Have A Better Alternative, Thank You And God Bless As You Reply

I moved your thread to the International Forum as it is specific to that.
Now to answer your questions and give you the correct answers.:
CGFNS exam is only required for a handful of states, but it is the only exam that is currently offered on the African continent. NCLEX-RN is not offered there.
But you will not be able to sit for that exam if you have not completed an approved RN program thru an actual school of nursing. You are unable to sit for the NCLEX-RN exam, nor the CGFNS exam if you have not completed a nursing program.
Currently, we have waiting lists at almost every program in the US, and as an international student you are going to have to meet strict admissions requirements as well as have the funds to pay for your schooling and housing for the two year minimum of training. You are not permitted to work while you are in school, other than the part-time hours you can get under the CPT.
Are you going to be able to handle that?
