:confused:I am preparing to take the NCLEX PN next week. one of the books that I am reading is a new NCLEX PN study guide by SAunders and the others are all the texts I used in class. now Saunders states that an AP can be delegated to administer an enema but my foundations text says other wise. some internet search revealed that it goes according to the training of the Assistive Personnel or experience....which is true for the purpose of passing the NCLEX?

From what I learned a lifetime ago, you could not delegate it, but I think according to today's standards you could delegate it according to the training and experience criteria, but I still would supervise the process, at least until I was convinced the person was capable. Do not know what the real book answer is. Would like to find out.
