Hey!
Most people I know don't have a problem with micro... it's mostly memorization and a little lab work. I can't remember what textbook I used ( it was a long time ago). If you've already taken chemistry and/or statistics, I assure this class is easier. Where are you going to school? I'll be taking Organic chem II over the summer at the University of Maryland, college park. There are a lot of resources at most schools for tutors and study groups if you feel you need some assistance.

I liked micro better than A&P and thought it was much easier. The lab is interesting, well our instructor made it interesting. I enjoyed taking it. Good luck to you, take good notes and study them.

There is a micro coloring wookbook that as basic as it is , gives a great understanding of disease processes. It is put out by lippencot , calles microbiology coloring wrkbook. This book can be used right through medsurge II .

How's it goin'? I'm in Micro now as we speak, during summer. It sucks. But I got a 90 on my last lab exam. We use this book: Microbiology an Introduction, 8th ed. Toratora, Funke, Case. It's costly, but maybe you'll find it on campus or at the library. I find the lab helpful since I'm a hands on learner and this enforces what we go over in lecture for that exam. It's mostly memorization, not much critical thinking like in our nursing exams. I like it, but there's so much to cover in the summer class that at times I can't differentiate what he's zoning in on. That's why I read the book, I can tell from there what is vital to know for the tests. If you need any help, let me know: [email protected]. I'd be more than happy to assist in any way. Good luck!
