Hello, I need some advice on which LVN school to go to. I have already visited Stanbridge, Concorde, Pacific and CNI. All the Sales Rep. are all the same trying to sell the school. I don't believe anything they say. I need feedback from the actual students. I have narrowed it down to Pacific and Concorde. Has anyone attended these schools and have any recommendations on which school to pick. Thanks!

Have you considered public LVN programs...adult school, community college? Not only are they less expensive, but you would graduate without huge debt. The Calif LVN psychtech board should have a list of approved LVN courses.
While I did not go to a private school, I heard some good things about Concord..but that was for the North Hollywood facility. Best to you.

i am attending stanbridge and i like the insturctors. its an office setting location in irvine. the admin office people suck but the instructors are good and well educated.
(stanbridge gives you 4 scrubs, pacific gives you only 2 scrubs) its important to have a lot because being with patients and all the germs etc.
i visited concorde and pacific, i didnt like the clinical setting at all.
i called cni and didnt like the outcome of the sale rep over the phone.
dont look at price (they are pretty much the same), look at the score for the nclex exit exam test score. stanbridge has 97%, followed by concorde. pacifice was low like 80%. cni, i didnt check out. i heard a lot of people reviews about cni bad.
good luck with your decision.
Thanks for the responses. Now I just have to choose ..

i'm a student at cni. do not go there! the clinical instructors are horrible among other things. i only wish someone had told me not to go to cni when i was searching schools. i truly hope you find a good school that you enjoy and succeed in. good luck!
Thanks for letting me know. I will definitely cross out CNI from my list. I did get that feeling that CNI wasn't great when I met with the sales person. She wasn't very informative. :)
Thank you for letting me know and the info you sent. It was much appreciated! :)
your welcome. good luck!

I'm a current student at Pacific. It's tough but it'll be tough where ever you end up going. Overall, my experience has been good. I think no matter where you go, you will find that there are some teachers you like more than others - it's what you make of it and your time there. My clinical rotations have been great so far. I've really enjoyed the patient interaction; even with some of the more difficult patients :) I chose not to go to Concorde because it felt too much like they were trying to sell me a car, I find it inappropriate for an admissions counselor to call me sweetheart and honey, and I thought it was very unprofessional of them to bad mouth other schools to me in their sales pitch. Basically they made me run the other way when their intentions were for me to choose their school. I tried real hard to get into some less expensive but good VN programs, such as NOCROP, Rio Hondo, and Riverside CC but because they're largely based on a point system, it was really difficult and I was eager to get started and done with a program. If by any chance you're just out of high school, I HIGHLY recommend looking into the NOCROP VN program in Anaheim as they have an excellent program, I believe under $5,000, and HS students or recent grads, i.e. class of 2009, get priority entrance into the program. Good luck choosing!

I would highly advise for you to choose a public sector such as North Orange County Regional Occupation Program, Long Beach City College, Downey Adult School, Rio Hondo Collge, or Hacienda La Puente Adult School.
I suggest that you attend to the orientation classes that are offered at each school. It would give you a feeling whether you like the campus, teachers, and see their schdule format during the week. Currently, I am attending the VN Program at Hacienda La Puente Adult School. Although I live in Garden Grove, I don't mind having to commute a long distance...it's worth the sacrifice. Good Luck!
