  1. i am sorry to hear about that. what is the raw score needed to pass the program? my lvn school is 90% needed to pass the exit exam. let me know if you know of any centers or locations that help students with situations like this. yes, the priority questions, select all that apply, and moving the boxes in right order, and pictures are so overwhelming. because on the ati online practice test are not like that it’s more general with select the answer from the 4 answers or priority questions but they were easy like race or o2 situations. i did exit cram, saunders, and ati books and cds and vid. cheer up, retry in 45 days. good luck to you.
  2. hello everyone, yes, its about the long waitlist # in ca and the schools.... i'm #522, out of 1111 students now on the walit list:down:. i'll be applying to other colleges, soon!
  3. for my school, after we take the exam it will show our grade. and its up to the other person to tell someone if they grades. i passed all exams and if someone would ask me i would say "ya, i passed". its personal information.... i would not appraoch people and ask their grades because you can tell when someone walks out of class if they failed or passed by the expression on their faces.....so i've never asked. my instructor will not say who passed or failed or what is the class average. she said one time, "this is the first term that the entire class did very well".....:redpinkhe:yeah::yeah::yeah:.....yah!!!
  4. thank you, rzyzzyfor your comment. i will review it and study the information. thanks again!
  5. Hi I took the LVN Pre-Entrance Exam and I didnt study for it. I passed first try.....Good Luck
  6. hi everyone, i need to take the hesi a2 for the entrance exam next month at gateway college.... i am not able to go to the book store to purchase it..... what is the name of the study guide? can i buy the book on amazon.com? is there more then just one hesi a2 for the entrance exam to study for? please can someone reply and let me know.....advise...... i want to purchase the right book to study (i purchased hesi compreshive review for the nclex-rn examination 2nd edition.... its has more of the nursing dx, medical-surgical nursing, pharmacology, fundamentals and not about math, voc, grammer, its more about rn level already. i think i got the wrong book. i cant retun it on amazon. i'll save it for the future once i'm in the program.) please let me know asap. thank you so much!
  7. massagetorn can you send me a private email address to my acct...for some reason i am not able to send you an email....thank you so much its about hesi exams. thank you so much!
  8. what study guide did you buy?
  9. hi, i'm in term 1 in lvn school and soon we will heading out to the clinics! i'm so excited. ok, the school has provided us a stethoscope, however, i cannot hear out of it unless i press them really tight into my ears. i can hear the heart beats from my instructors stethoscope. she told me to get a stethoscope because the one the school provides is not that good to hear the heart beats. so, since we are going to the clinic setting i was wondering which one to purchase? i'm not working, attending full time school and limited to cash $$$. :twocents: what is your suggestion what brand is better when it comes to prestige medical clear sound heart stethoscope vs. littmann classic ii s.e. stethoscope? [color=dimgray]prestige medical clear sound heart stethoscope is $29 on amazon [color=dimgray]littmann classic ii s.e. stethoscope is $71 to $100 and higher on amazon:mad: i'm limited with cash flow so what's the best stethoscope to purchase?
  10. good job, my first exam i recieved an 80% too. others passed too. i think the entire class pass the first exam. pretty easy. it gets harder and harder each time but focus is the key here.
  11. prvrbs35, what about saddleback? what's their requirment? good to know that you know most of what colleges what.
  12. hi i'm in term 1 and its very stressful studying, learning and understanding everything from the lectures to the clinical skills lab! its very intense work but it what i like and want to be a nurse. term 1 instructor full time is great. she's an awesome strict instructor but i've learned so much in her class then all my other science classes instructors in my college. she's very much detailed and answers all our questions. she stays after class if i have questions. she's fast repsonse with her emails questions. i think she's doing an amazing job as our instructor. i'll miss her as my term 1 instructor. its freezing in the room the temp is always either too cold or hot, bring your lab jacket at all time and do not wear any other jacket because i was told to remove my jacket, just wear their required uniform. i like stanbridge :nmbrn::[anb]:, yes its costly however the nclex is very high a 97%. i've looked at other oc lvn schools and i knew that stanbridge was a good choice for me. black leather recliner chairs w laptops in front of you. cozy desk where you can sleep (during breaks or lunchtime). admin office ppl suck but oh well they dont have anything to do with me....i like the cool stuff stanbridge gives us such as the laptop and itouch with meds. i have not recieved it yet but waiting..... thanks! i would recommand this lvn program to other such as friends and family.
  13. what is a clinical margin? that's a lot of points to be dropped from the lbcc program. did you reapply or seeking other rn programs in our area? if so, what colleges have you applied to.
  14. smileymcsmiles check out stanbridge college in irvine. i like the school. i didnt like the other lvn programs i visited in oc, ca. yes, once your in lvn school, its no life, its studying for hours morning, night....exams 2 times a week, stressful, strict uniform, but you will be an lvn nurse once complete....check out all lvn schools......its hard work but if your willing to do it...choose a school with high nclex score remember its all about studying and learning from the lecutes insturctors....that's how each college has a high nclex score on the website...stanbridge has high nclex and i know why because they push us, :lol2:we push ourselves to do great in school and we believe we can do it by passing the nclex with the great insturctors there.....good luck!
  15. i agree with gen2nurse, look at the website for the nclex exam. regarding concorde vs. american career college.....first i failed the exam at concorde by 2 points, and the admin lady told me if i wanted to be a ma. i was mad she said that. i missed it by 2 freakin points. so she wanted me to do the ma route. i was there to do the lvn not ma. the next day i went to stanbridge and passed the exam on the first try...i do not like concorde at all. my friend graduate from concorde and she did not say good things about concorde in gg. american career college has low reviews and the admin staff are pushy...calling and calling. i visited many schools and i decided to attend stanbridge college. i like the school. good luck.
