hello! i'm a filipina and i just passed Nclex... i received a letter from nclex and it is stated in the letter that i need 2 send my sss number to their office in order for me to get my license. how can i get a sss number if i'm still in the philippines... i hope someone can help me with my problem...

Can't get a SSN until you are in the US and have a valid US visa. Congratulations for passing.

Find and employer,get petitioned. Once you're in US, you can get SS#, then you can have your license.

you can only have the sss no. once you set foot in the USA. this is the usual case for those who asked for licensure in california. did you also go through with your licensure in california? can you share with us your time line?

That is actually the case with many states, not just California. The majority of them will not issue a license until you are in the US and are ready to begin work with a legal visa. That is the only way that you can get a SSN#.
