for those who had their documents notarized in the US embassy -- is there a fee for this? do you have to schedule this with them or did you just show up there and where exactly did you go? have anyone tried the local notary public? is this acceptable?

Lan Kwai Fong and Central Park Hotel are the nearest ones but there are a lot of other hotels around if you are willing to take their mtr / train. taking the mtr is fine because there is a station very near the testing center. there are a lot of threads about this. you can use the search button so you can view them. there's plenty of info there. goodluck.:) hey john thanks for the info. what other hostels did you consider besides sunkong? thanks.

how long is the usual wait for the confirmation letter from vermont BON once approved to take the exam? is this letter sent by regular postal mail? also, do they make one eligible on the day that they receive the confirmation letter or will it take more weeks or months?

Doesn't saipan need a US visa? Isn't hard to get a US visa nowadays especially from PI? Should you disclose that you are taking the exam?

Thanks lawrence. Yes I am going through consular processing. From the other posts I have read, I thought the Ds230 forms are being sent out even with the retrogression... and the ones being held up is the packet 4 - the medical and interview. If we got married after I received the green card, can I still petition him? What is the difference between petitioning him when he is NOT in the US and when he is in the US? And how long will the wait be? We've been together for several years already but haven't tied the knot yet. Do you have any idea what proof do they need? Are you just referring to the marriage certificate, or do i need to bring any letter/picture? Thanks again lawrence.

Hi Md-Rns. If I don't have a nursing license here in the Philippines but have a medical license, do i need to send to PRC the validation of license? Or are they just validating the nursing license (since nursing is the profession being applied for)? thanks.

If I marry my fiancee after filing of the I140, will he still be included in my petition? Will he still be able to qualify for the following to join benefits? Or will he go through the family based petition 2a preference?
