Help! Interview tomorrow!

Published

Hello Everyone! I have an interview tomorrow for a Magnet hopsital. The interview is for a student nurse job at at the hospital that I would really love to work at when I graduate this December. I am so nervous about it and do not know what to wear?! Also, I have already accepted a student nurse job for the local hospital which will start in May. I accepted it because I had not been called for an interview for the place that I am interviewing with tomorrow, but now I don't know what to do in regards to telling them tomorrow about the other job or not. I plan to work at both hospitals because the place that I already accepted you only have to work 16 hours per month to keep the job. I don't want to tell the interviewer tomorrow about the other job because I am afraid that they will pick someone else because I already have a student nurse job, but I REALLY want to work with them. Also, I am afraid that they will find out and then I will be fired or something for not telling them about it. Please help me in regards to this and also what to wear!

Thanks!

Dress nicely and conservatively. Be yourself.

anyone else have any ideas on this situation?

As far as I know, there is no "rule" governing where you can work, or how many jobs you may have. I would not volunteer the information, unless directly asked. (which they may or may not bother to ask) If they do ask, explain that yes, you have a position, but let them know why you are applying here also.

Good Luck

I agree with dressing professional. If you don't have a suit, black pants will do with a long sleaved blouse. I would not offer up the information about the second job, but if they do ask, tell them that you are seeking out different hospital experiences in order to decide where you would like to specialize. This way it looks like you are planning for your future, and goal setting. Interviewers love this. They cannot fire you because you have two jobs. That is your business. Other tips: Make good eye contact with your interviewer, give a good handshake, and over all be yourself, be human ,and take your time answering questions.
