IM A NEW LPN GRADUATE FROM BC, ILL BE TAKING MY CPNRE ON SEPT. hoping ill pass it.. -.-

my question for all of you guys is, would i be able to transfer my license to Alberta right away or do i need to work for a year or maybe months in able to transfer it? or it depends on my mark on the CPNRE?

to all LPNs who took the CPNRE, how did u find? was is it really hard? how did u study for it?

THANK YOU EVERYONE :)

You must register in BC to be able to apply for an Alberta permit.

There really aren't a lot of jobs out here. Our own new grads are having a hard time finding jobs. Most are starting as casuals.

Just pay attention to the questions and don't overthink them.

Ive heard the standard of education in Edmonton is higher compared here in Vancouver. Ive heard too that some people were asked to take a refresher course or whatever in Edmonton before they can transfer their license or get their license in Edmonton.

Even here Vancouver, theres no jobs. -.-

Thank you so much Fiona:)

The PN programme in AB and ON is the two year, old RN diploma course. Is BC still doing the quick, basic 13 months?

yes they are but theyve changed it to a 2 year on sept 2012.. but ive taken the one year which was the last one year program for lpn.

anyway im in edmonton now.. been looking for jobs.. but unfortunately i cant use my interim license here ;l so ive been looking for care aide position, ive taken my exam as well.. and hoping that i pass it ;(
