  1. Hi you're right. I just received the results today and took them exactly 6 weeks, got approved :) Thank you everyone. Now time to look for a job. Wishing I could get a job in a hospital. Any hospital here in Edmonton.
  2. Hi, all the documents has been sent to CLPNA. Im just waiting for their assesment to be finish. So im just wondering how long would it take for the assessment to be done? is it weeks? how manys weeks?
  3. Does anyone have an idea on how does CLPNA do their assessment for transferring a license here in AB? And how long would it take for the assessment to be finish?

  7. ive been applying since i came here i got a few calls as a HCA but the position is only casual and they havent called me for any shifts. ive been calling them to pick up shifts but they said they dont have any. -.- and yes i have my family here. so i guess i can only work as a HCA here eh? do u have any idea how CLPNA would do the assessment? would they look at my grades? thinking of going back to school, change of career. but i love nursing thou. ayaa thanks Fiona59 and Joanna73
  8. Graduatedin BC on June and i just passed my CPNRE which was on sept. Im on the process of transferring my license here in Edmonton. SO COMPLICATED THOU -.- I moved in Edmonton 2 months ago and i still havent found any jobs here, -.- In BC theres no jobs for lpns too -.- thanks guys.
  9. yes they are but theyve changed it to a 2 year on sept 2012.. but ive taken the one year which was the last one year program for lpn. anyway im in edmonton now.. been looking for jobs.. but unfortunately i cant use my interim license here ;l so ive been looking for care aide position, ive taken my exam as well.. and hoping that i pass it ;(
  10. Ive heard the standard of education in Edmonton is higher compared here in Vancouver. Ive heard too that some people were asked to take a refresher course or whatever in Edmonton before they can transfer their license or get their license in Edmonton. Even here Vancouver, theres no jobs. -.- Thank you so much Fiona:)

IM A NEW LPN GRADUATE FROM BC, ILL BE TAKING MY CPNRE ON SEPT. hoping ill pass it.. -.- my question for all of you guys is, would i be able to transfer my license to Alberta right away or do i need to work for a year or maybe months in able to transfer it? or it depends on my mark on the CPNRE? to all LPNs who took the CPNRE, how did u find? was is it really hard? how did u study for it? THANK YOU EVERYONE :)
