I am looking at AIU (American Intercontiental University) they are accredited by Commission on Colleges of Southern Association of Colleges they said they have the highest accrediation schools can get. I am looking at attending them to get my BSN, in healthcare then finding another school where I can finish so I can have my RN. Right now I need something online due to home situation. I already have my LPN. I talked to someone from UoP and she said that she could only help me with single classes. They do not have any place in the state where I live that offers the RN options. At AIU I would be getting my associates then going into my BSN. I will have my BSN degree then I will have to find a course where I can finish my RN. Has anyone heard anything on AIU ?? I would greatly appreciate your opinions. She is suppose to call me back tomorrow morning for an answer. Your help would be great.
Thanks, Angelia:confused:

I thought they only offered Healthcare Administration degrees- not nursing specifically. I also believe that their accreditation pertains to general education. If you want your nursing courses to be accredited, there are 2 accreditations that are considered viable- the NLNAC is one...I forgot the other. (But again, I may be wrong- my brain is fried today- working too hard...lol).

You are correct. I will get my BSN there then I will go back to my local community college and get my RN.But doing it this way right now is easier and better for me. I will get all my pre-req finished for my LPN-Rn bridge program and my local college so I will only have my nursing classes and then my clinicals. I am able to get my BSN first then go back for my RN. Thanks for your information

at AIU my ADN is just in general education but my BSN is in the medical part. I have to get my ADN first in general then go to my medical BSN.
