Help I;m starting nursing school monday!

Published

I am staring nursing school Monday night and I am really nervous! I am attending Lawrence Memorial Regis College in Medford nights. I have been working towards this day for three years with straight A's, I am married with two kids ages 5 & 7 , I stopped working. What should I expect? Any helpful tips suggestions or helpful supplemental books or websites?? Thanks!!:nurse:

Hi,

Good luck! I'm starting an LPN program tomorrow morning, at Mount Wachusett Community College.

I am sooooo excited, and worked so hard for this.

My kids are teenagers now, so I'm a little lucky, It is my husband who will be my little one! ha ha

My advice to you is just make sure you do spend some time with your family and let them know that you do need to spend time studying. (a lot)

As far as cheap books; go to half.com, I found some books almost half off.

Best of luck!

I just graduated from LM/RC Days in December. I highly recommend Med Surg Success and Saunders Comprehensive as study books. I don't know about the night program, but I did not buy all of the books for the day division, in fact I barely used any books. They really prepare you well with the powerpoints. If you do not have any experience then the Fundamentals book is good (very basic if you have CNA exp.), the Med Surg book is decent.

Definitly check ebay, amazon, BN.com before buying the books off of the schools website.

Good Luck, I remember how overwhelming the 1st week was~ lots of paperwork!
