Help finding a program in So-Cal

U.S.A. California

Published

Hi everyone! i am new to the forums, and really hoping someone can offer some help. I have applied to the ADN program at RCC three times, and unfortunately been denied each time. I am getting really discouraged, and am sick of waiting each semester and then not getting in. I have looked into West Coast University, but am reluctant because of the cost and the issues regarding the BSN being accepted at another institution later on. I am worried another CC or university will just result in the same waiting and denial situation I have been in with RCC. I am hoping someone can point me in the direction of another possible program? Or offer some words of advice? Thanks!

Since RCC uses a merit based admissions process maybe you should try and retake some classes you didn't get an A in. Another way would be to try to look for a CC that uses a lottery system and hope your name gets picked in the draw.

See, that's the problem I am facing! The only class I didn't receive an A in is micro, and I got a B. I was told I wouldn't be allowed to retake it given the grade I received. I am really just tired of waiting, and it seems there are only negative opinions out there about the local private schools... I was hoping someone could tell me there was at least one good one. Lol thanks for the advice! :)

With only B and rest A's Saddleback College in Mission Viejo may be a good choice. Entry is based solely on GPA for prereq's and GPA on last 12 units at one school. Your application should be competitive there.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the advice! The school is a little far from me, but I'm at the point now where I don't even care anymore. I will definitely be applying there. =)
