Help! me find out how to get around in here?

I only reviewed my pharm text to prepare. I had no access and do not know of a pre-fabricated test that covers all of this. sorry I cannot help. Good luck.

thank you for your reply. what i meant was help in preparation. what i might expect in the syringe practical or administration of a drug. If somebody might give me a drugs a patient might be ordered to take that i would review before administration and i respond with the answers they look for on the test. I could say what i found and somebody could quiz me on the drug, what it does, if it can be given with another drug, etc. you remember i am sure. one question was asked at school on a prep quiz about one of these tests and they can back to ask what was the most important electrolyte lost and she answered correctly potassium. Frankly, I didn't know the name. Glad you passed yours

That drug was probably Lasix, which is a diuretic. Some diuretics just dump out fluid, electrolytes and whatever, and others are "potassium sparing."

Are you familiar with http://www.google.com? You can just type in the name of the drug and up will come websites about that drug. If you do this a couple of times, you'll find that there are a few that a very, very useful. (I did this when I was in school--don't have the bookmarks anymore, but you can do this yourself.....)

The best way to get to know your meds is to "be exposed" to them. I found I learned best when I got online and just read and read. That (and listening to lectures) happens to be the best way I learn.

Yes, I passed pharmacology. Now movin on up to med-surg. After this final, whoever is left, we will get to participate in our capping ceremony
