Hello everyone. I am new to the board. I just started my pre-reqs for a nursing program here in New Haven CT. I will be eligable to apply for the program a year from now. Most of these classes transfer from when i received my Bachelors many years ago. I do have to take A&P I and am looking to take it online. Does anyone know of any schools where I can do this? I dont want to go thru the schools like Univ of Phoenix..I havent heard very good things about them.
Can you help??
Thanks

My advice would be to double check with the advisor at your potential nursing schools to be sure they accept an online version of A&P, or whatever course you are looking to take. I know my school won't take it because they do not accept "virtual labs" which is what you get in an online science course.
Good luck to you!

Most nursing schools want Chemistry and A&P with a lab. I don't know of any online programs that have labs..And you have to make sure that the school you want to get into would accept those courses from an online type class.
I've yet to find any an online course for Chem or A&P at a few of the community colleges in CT.
The classes at Edukan have labs. Edukan is a consortium of community colleges in Kansas that are fully accredited. Also, on your transcript it says nothing about the class being online. The science classes have labs. Search this site for Edukan and you will find alot of posts about it. Another nice thing about Edukan is you don't have to pay out of state tuition.
