Help for class!!

This is for RN's only

hello I'm currently doing my prerequisites to get into the nursing program and my teacher wants us to ask current RNs a few questions. So I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me out.

1. What is your perception of the role of the registered nurse?

2. Has your perception changed since you first entered nursing?

3. In what area(s) of nursing have you worked?

4. Did you feel you needed different types of communication for each specialty area? If so, how did your communication differ?

5. With whom do you communicate most frequently?

6. How important do you believe communication is in a nurse/client relationships?

7. Are there insights or tips you can give me that you have discovered enhanced communication with clients of others?

How would you know if the people replying are actually RNs? I think the idea is to actually ask people. Don't you know anyone in the nursing world? Friends, family, friends of friends? Heck a Facebook acquaintance is more verifiable.

You should not waste any time waiting for nurses/nurse-wanna-be's to answer your homework questions. Use that time to call a local hospital, doctor office, public health office and ask to speak to a nurse. Offer to take him/her out for coffee in exchange for their time. Get a discussion going.

That's the goal of your homework assignment.

OP: This appears to be an assignment for a communication class. There are 3.3 million RNs in the country. Surely to goodness you can find one to speak with 1:1. I am certain your instructor did NOT mean for you to post your homework on an anonymous internet message board so that strangers could do your assignment.
