It depends on where you are applying in Michigan. Like all states it has it's good and bad areas. It also does not help that your address is out of the area. Keep applying, perhaps in a different city? Try all places.. Hospital, Homecare, LTC, etc. Leave no rock unturned. Also check the classifieds of the local newspapers in the area you are looking. Good luck.
I just got my License and am looking for work right now too. Everyone I have talked to about job searching says it is best to walk in and hand in your resume. This is what I did at 2 places last week and got calls back for interviews. They were only for part time postions. I accepted one last tuesday and have not been able to make any contact with the hiring manager since then. I walked in next day with references , thank you note and in my letter explaining I would call next day, I called next day and day after that leaving voice messages and still have not gotten called back after they made me a job offer. Im really perplexed. Anyway, Im moving on. Almost every single person I graduated with that got their license this summer has full time employment now. I am hoping I can get a job soon if I get more aggresive with my job search.

I live in OH and just received my MI Lpn licence in Aug. 2012. I have put in just about 50 applications and I have not even gotten an interview. Does anyone think that it could be the OH address that's the reason? Please help......Anybody!!!!
