Hello,
I am an RPN working and living in Ontario, Canada. Working in Arizona as an LPN has always been something I've wanted to do and this year I have started taking steps to make this happen. I have successfully passed the NCLEX-PN and currently hold an inactive Arizona LPN license. I have also started the process for the CGFNS Visa Screening certificate. To my understanding, I can not receive a working VISA until I have a job offer from the USA. I have started to apply for jobs online and it seems as though I have hit a roadblock as I have not heard back from any employers.
Does anyone have any information on employers in Arizona hiring Canadian RPNs? or any information that would be of benefit to me.
I feel like I'm so close but yet so far!!
Thanks!!

RPN/LPN will not qualify for most temporary work or TN visa as RN/BSN is the minimum educational requirement.
What type of visa were you planning on getting/qualifying for?
When employers see that you neither have work rights nor are you eligible for a TN visa your application may be rejected for a qualified applicant who can legally work in the US. Any visa other than TN is an added expense to the employer that many facilities are not willing to take on.
JustBeatchyNurse, thank you for your response. I was planning on getting the TN visa as I was told previously by an immigration officer that it DOES cover LPN. However, I called the border patrol officer today and he said he wasn't sure and stated, " all the information is online". ( He was also very quick to get rid of me). As per online information, there is no reference to LPN.
Is there any travel nursing agencies that offer opportunities to LPNs?

According to this list only RN is accepted for TN therefore you don't meet requirements

You would still need a visa, agency or not.
