Hi, are there any nurses working in Home Health in Ocala,FL? I am a Registered Nurse with 2 years experience
in a very fast pace, very stressful ER in south Florida. I am planning on relocating to Ocala in the next few months
and would like to know if any one, close to this area can give me advise as to how well the Home Health Industry
is doing in this area. I have been told H.Health agencies in south FL are not doing well due to past issues with fraud.
Any advise? Im still looking for the best option for out of hospital out of ER job. Thanks!!!!!

Go to Almostfamily.com and check for your area. As anywhere it depends on the particular office you are at. I wish I had done this long long ago!!!! They have numerous companies under different names - some private, some strictly medicare. I like the medicare with intermittent visits better. I make more money and less stress then I ever did any where I've ever worked and treated like a human being most of all :).
Lacie,
Thanks for the info,I'll definitely look into it.

I live in Ocala and my mother-in-law's receiving home health care, her nurses always seem to have full schedules, places to go and people to see. So maybe business is doing decent around here. I know ocala4sale.com has a Medical Employment section where several different home health organizations usually advertise for LPNs and RNs.

I don't see anything there right now but keep an eye on it. =) Also the hospitals around here are almost always hiring ER nurses, I'm pretty sure! Check ocalahealthsystem.com for Ocala Regional and West Marion Community Hospital (they're owned by the same company), and munroeregional.com for Munroe Regional.
