How was it? Would you do it again? Was it worth it? Welcome back! I started back August first and the Summer flew by.
It was interesting, very busy! But... it was extremely disorganized, especially the clinic calls. Co-workers were okay, the kids were always coming in and some were very rude. Food was eh. But I did make friends and had some fun during the trips I had to go to. It was worth it for the experience, but for the money and the stress I endured, not much. I won't go again though, unless I am in really need of the cash. I did a lot of reflection during this time and I know I'll do a better job this year.
I came back on the 7th and returned to work yesterday.

I almost worked at the overnight camp my two kids attend in NH last Summer but realized if I did that I would have zero time off from my school nurse job and I was really feeling burned out. I have heard from a lot of nurses who work at overnight camps that the experience they had was similar to yours. Glad you are back with renewed energy for a great school year :)
