Hello to all on the Legal Forum. I have been a nurse for 30+ years with a wide variety of clinical experiences -maternal child, OR, Psych & hospital based case management. I love my current job, BUT, there is a new management team in the house, and things are becoming unstable. I am Master's prepared and have always been interested in this field. My plan is to take the Milazzo course in October in Vegas. Anyone else out there planning to go- respond and maybe we can mentor each other thru this process. I am seeking any other support available from experienced CLNC's,too.

Thanks, Morghan, MSN, ARNP, BC, CARN

I just finished the CLNC program in Houston in June and it was the most amazing experience. The material presented was so organized and I felt as though all the instructors were talking TO us and not AT us. Very overwhelming and believe me I am still sorting through things refreshing all the ideas and concepts presented. I do not agree with a previous post from Bill... saying the certification is not needed, maybe for him, but for me, I needed guidance in how to apply my knowledge base and present it to an attorney in a professional manner. He also said he worked at a law firm, I would much prefer to work as an independent consultant. I do not feel as though I could have accomplished this without taking some kind of coorifice. One of the greatest things about taking the coorifice was meeting all the other nurses and the bond we developed and the friendships that were formed. I felt so emotional on Sat. before the test when they showed all the pictures from the week of everyone. It was such an intense week yet it seemed to fly by in retrospect. For me, it was an invaluable experience, I have been given all the tools and it is now up to me to make it a success. I feel if I don't make it work it is my fault not the Institutes. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who is interested in this field, I don't think you will be disappointed.
