You need to apply to take the NCLEX or you've done that and need an IL license? Have you checked the IL BON website?

Maybe OP doesn't meet the requirements for an RN license in IL if she's PI trained? Is IL as rigid as CA?

If I am not mistaken, I believe that California and Virginia are the only two states that allow foreign-trained RNs to challenge the NCLEX-PN to become LPNs/LVNs. I am not sure that the Illinois Board of Nursing allows this, although you may want to call or email them to reassure yourself with the final answer.
