Hello,
I just enrolled in Excelsior's nursing program. I am an LPN with a bachelors degree in Health Science trying to become an RN and to receive an associates degree in nursing. I started off with College Network (big, big, big, mistake) . So now that I am broke:uhoh3: , I need all of the help I can get to pass these upcoming courses. I heard that this is a wonderful site to contact other nurses in the community who have been through what I am about to go through. So if there is anyone out there that can set me on the right path, please contact me.

i'm sure you've recieved a review of your transcripts, so you know which classes you need.
there's surprisingly little to the whole excelsior concept. you study when and how you want, then test when you're ready take an exam . after the nc exams, you must pass the cpne. this is the point where i'd be sure to network with other students to run pcs's and labs together.
if you do a search on the threads here, there's a wealth of information.
it's straightforward until you get to the cpne. you need to be able to think on your feet for a weekend as a med surge nurse.
start studying for nc1 and nc2, by the time you're finished with those, you should have a good feel for the whole thing.
excelsior has a peer network with threads. i'd read about the cpne there, here and on yahoo groups.
excelsior worked great for me, and a lot of others here as well.
