hello everyone

Hi, I finished nursing school in the fall and went to take my boards last week. It was terrible!!! I had 265 questions and when I was half way through I more or less gave up because all that I studied seemed like it did not help. There was alot of questions on herbs. That surprised me. I found out later that I failed:o . Can anyone give me some advice as to what I can study from that will help me pass next time. I have to wait 45 days before I take it again. I heard that they upgraded the NCLEX and come April they the exam is going to be harder. Can anyone HELP ME!!! Thanks to all.

Welcome to Allnurses. I'm going to put this post on the NCLEX forum. Take some time to check that out. I'm sorry you failed. Hang in there.

wneil.....sorry you failed.. what helped me most was kaplan (the online questions and the test taking strategy book)... those 2 things are what helped me pass. the book shows you how to read and break down the q's and how to eliminate choices..... and then the q's online... they are very very similar to the nclex q's. make sure you get 60s on the tests and that you read ALL rationales afterward.. even the ones for the q's you got right. that's what i did. good luck to you!
