Hi All,
my name is bomsy and I'm new to allnurses.
Just graduated from college in milwaukee and relocating to maryland. Any suggestions on where to live and best places to work?
Thanks for your advice.

Hi again boomsyIf you look at a map of Maryland and find Hagerstown...pretty much everything from Hagerstown to the west is considered Western Maryland or anything in Washington, Garrett, or Alleghany County. Your biggest towns would be Hagerstown, Cumberland, Frostburg.Eastern shore would be anything east of the Chesapeake Bay. Your largest towns being Easton, Cambridge, Salisbury. All of which have lots of little smaller towns in between...some closer to the city...some further away.

Oh I was thinking the question was about the Western shore like Shady side, Chesapeake beach etc. But Western MD is beautiful also.

Hello everyone. My name is Dani and I am also new to AllNurses.com. It is really nice to meet all of you and have a place to come visit with other nurses in MD. Bomsy, I live in a small town in Washington County and I love it here but I have lived here all my life and I hate big cities. There is one hospital in town but many nursing homes and a VA center very close. It is easy to compute from this area to the big city if you want to work there and make more money.
Good luck

Well Bomsy I'm a new graduate relocating from NC. I hope the above information about Hopkins is wrong. I have interviews there next week. I guess I will wait until I get there to make a judgment but I'm now wondering what I'm getting myself into!
