Hello fellow SJC student! (I've taken most of my classes at south but am going to central exclusively in the fall). If you do a search on this site there are tons of threads about the best way to study for this exam.
Do you know if San Jac administers this exam?
Hi mjmoon,
The HESI is a new requirement test for admission to the RN program starting next year 2011. That means I have to take it in August or Oct this year 2010 because the application period is Sep 1 to Nov 1. I will call to get more info about the testing schedule next week.
So you finished all the prerequisites?
No- I'm taking AP1, Nutrition, Lifespan, and Stats in the fall, and Micro, AP2 and Chem in the spring. I decided a couple of months ago that I wanted to go the nursing route so I took different sciences and electives for my AA degree. I'm actually going to aim to get into UTH, UTMB, or TWU for nursing school. I definitely have to take the HESI as well as the TEAS before applying.
Are you applying to any other programs? I hear Lee is good as well as Alvin and COM.
