Helen Fuld 2020 LPN to RN and COVID 19

Nursing Students LPN-RN

Published

Hi there! I am currently an LPN student and am about to graduate in a few weeks! I am absolutely continuing for my RN and am very interested in going to Helen Fuld, as they are affiliated with my current program. Does anyone know if the college will remain online indefinitely through the rest of 2020 and possibly 2021? That's most likely a premature question being that all future plans are "wait and see".

I also wanted to know how current students are doing in the program, or if they are enjoying it. I've had a rough experience in the past with an RN program that was partly due to my own mistakes (I was way too young and did not know how to properly study or critically think for that matter! ?) and partly due to frustrations within the education itself. I will also say that I have been doing very well in my current LPN program with transcript grades all above 90s, and I worry that it will be a huge ego-crusher if I start getting high 70's on all the tests.

If anyone wouldn't mind shedding some light on how you are managing in this program, or in the same boat as I am, that would be great to share information. ? Thank you!

It’s now been a week with no answered emails. Can anyone in the program tell me how it’s going? Also, should I just take the TEAS without them contacting me first?

This is the email, I wish I could advise you further but I don't have any other suggestions. I wouldn't  want you to proceed with the test if they may have changed the requirements.

Yeah, I tried that email. I’m not sure what’s going on. Sigh. Thanks for your help!

I just took my TEAS last week.. and the process is after they have review your application they sent you a link that you have to pay another fee and sign up to take the TEAS. When they told me about taking the TEAS I had to take the test before the 22 of this month.. because the classes for the prerequisites start in feb and the nursing program starts in April . Maybe they will email you in the next week, my friend is also waiting for them to email her .

Thanks for the info. My friend graduated in November she said she didn't take the TEAS because of the pandemic

She didn’t have to take the TEAS at all? What was her experience in the program during the pandemic?

I know! I have to do prerequisites and I’m afraid I won’t be able to start this term because I won’t be ready in time.

Hiii! I'll be starting the pre-req classes in February and I emailed registrar my registration forms a few days before New Years, but I haven't heard anything back from them and I know registration for classes began this morning and I'm getting anxious since I can't sign up for the classes myself apparently since I can only sign into SONIS as an "Applicant" still. Anyone else starting the LPN-ADN next month? or know how registration for classes works?

Im supposed to sign up for the pre-req classes aswell but since im not done with Castle branch for the covid daily screening I think thats why I haven’t been notified about registration. Im still waiting aswell ...

Hey guys, so I finally got an answer. Although I applied before the deadline, the next class is full, so I will be considered for the fall semester. Prereqs start in April, so I guess I’ll just start those. Thanks everyone for your help!

Hey... I hope all is well... what exactly does the covid daily screening consist of? I was a little confused reading the email I wasn’t sure if they were saying the covid vaccine was required or if they were referring to the flu shot?

Hi , it means you have to take your temp twice a day for 14 days... I found out because I had to call castle branch .. the covid vaccine and flu is a separate thing .. when are u starting?

OK thank you I am supposed to start in September
