This is the thread where members come to share their journey to wellness and wholeness.
It's a holistic thread, talking about all apects of health, not just diet and exercise, but the mind and spirit as well. All posters are welcome (not just Premium Members) and encouraged on a periodic basis to share what you're doing, what you need to do and how you're going to do it, and what you know!
Ok guys, I give up trying to keep up at the moment. Every time I think I'm back on here for the long-haul, school & life attacks me & I'm MIA again, sorry, lol! Anyway, since I last spoke to y'all, my divorce was finalized and I am now a month & a half away from graduation! WooHoo!!! I cannot wait! I am so in love with nursing, more & more every day & I can't wait until I can do this for pay rather than pay the school to do this, hahaha! My preceptorship starts in August & I am stoked!
Ok - on health - uh - yeah - the end of nursing school has sorta killed that for me so I need to get back on track - have regained some weight & feel like blah right now. Have been eating horrible & never sleeping, so hopefully this will settle & I can get back on track after graduation. Before then would be great, but doubtful at the moment, lol!
Sorry I don't have time to catch up with everybody, but wanna let y'all know I miss 'ya & am still alive out here, still working towards my goal & dreaming big dreams, hehe!
HUGS to everybody!
So...I'm making you guys my new bestest friends ever. I'm graduating in two and a half weeks (wooooohooo!!!!) and through NS I have lost 40 pounds and then promptly gained it all back.
So!!!
The goal is to fit into XL Urbane Scrub pants so I can buy them in long and get galaxy blue. Plus to get my RN and be a good nurse and all that stuff. But mostly, the pants.

ha ha! love it!
Welcome to the thread! :)
Wow, Tweety. Not a recipe I'd have come up with on my own, but sounds good :).
Hi to the rest of you.
I've been working every day (at least a half shift) for the past week and I'm beat . I did pretty well on the food until today; I just didn't have the energy to make any sort of wise choices. Caffeine and sugar were the foods du jour. I guess the redeeming feature is that I've been too tired at night to do more than eat a bowl of cereal for dinner.
And hugs to Gentle. I've got a passel of kids and being a mom is the hardest thing I've ever done. Depression is a heavy burden, too. I hope it gets better for you.
Hi Tweety!!! Thanks so much!!!
Ok you guys, I have been awful!!! I'm gonna try to behave now because I am really starting to feel it! I have class tonight & my goal is to stop by the fruit stand on my way and pick up a bunch of fresh produce (I believe cantaloupe & watermelon are in season out here right now) and work on filling up with that stuff instead of junk food throughout the week!!!
Hi everybody, hope all is well - just breezing thru at light speed again today, lol!!!
((((((HUGS))))))) to all!

Hmmm I could echo your whole post. Only problem is that the lapses sometimes last for a year or more and by then I have gained all of it back!
I am pretty much doing no sugar-no flour and trying to increase my vegetable/fruit intake, and exercise.
I lost 5 lb right off the bat, then regained 2 and I feel "flubby" (meaning, I can grab flab ... maybe my skin was just too tight before for me to feel it?? lol...)
I really do want to keep doing this, but the progress is sooooo slow... I do feel better and more optimistic!
