Healthcare related jobs that don't require RN license

I have just moved from FL to SoCal. I have a current FL license and application pending for my California license. However, it looks like I may be waiting a looooooonnnngggg time for the state of CA to process my application. Their website says not to even bother calling unless it has been greater than 3 months since they processed your payment. So long story short, my savings account isn't going to last quite that long. I am looking into career fields that are healthcare related, but don't require my license and I am kind of drawing a blank aside from pharmaceutical sales. Looking for any ideas. Thanks!

Im not sure about this, but couldnt you work as a nurses aid ?

Normally you wont get hired as an aid if youre an RN because youd be liable as a nurse (despite being an aid).

But if the state doesn't address/accept your license, I believe you would be able to work as an aid ? And of course have an in to get hired as an RN.

Of course its also very possible that places will see youre an RN pending licensure, which means they likely wont want to hire you knowing that theyd be training/accumulating someone who intends on leaving soon.

I think your best bet would be like being a waiter/waitress or just grabbing a seasonal/summer employment job of choice.

Are they no longer issuing temporary licences in CA?

They are still doing temp licenses, however it is a minimum wait of 4-6 weeks for those. (That's without the posted back up). I did send in the additional fee for a temp license and hoping it comes through sooner than later, however I'm not holding my breath. The website said they used to issue those over the counter in Sacremento, however with the addition of the Breeze system they are no longer doing that.
