Health South?!

Published

Im a new grad with an interview Monday with Health South..a rehab hospital...any tips on what kinda questions they willl ask? What is their starting pay? Benefits good? This seems like a great opportunity for a new grad b/c hospital jobs can be so hard to come by... any and all information is appreciated!

My interview went very well...it was actually with HR and she was very pleased with my responses and the fact that I've been a CNA for over a year b/c alot of nurses just push stuff onto the tech's making the patients wait...she said the CNO gets in tonight so I should expect to hear from them wed/thurs and set up a second round interview with the CNO. She did not care that I was a GN. I got a very good feel from her and the place as well. If I have a second interview I will make sure to ask about patient and staff ratios... so if anyone knows about that I'd love to hear it...I'm also curious about pay lol... it's not a deciding factor but I'm definitely curious haha...

thanks so much everyone. guess i will be applying then. did the job posting state new grad or just registered nurse?

it said registered nurse

I will certainly have to remember to apply to HealthSouth when I make the move to DFW.

My interview went very well...
Did you receive an offer yet?

I know of a newer nurse with a BSN who was offered $23 hourly by a Healthsouth facility in the DFW area last year. However, DFW wages tend to be slightly lower than the pay rates offered in Houston.

2nd itnerview went really well...she said I could expect a phone call in a couple days...I'm going to decline if they do make an offer...I got the job at the psych hospital and it's everything I want...great pay and benefits, and I can work mon thru fri and have every weekend off!

Hello,

I am a new hire for HealthSouth and was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction as what to study for RN/LPN medication test.
