Hi Maryann,

I took this class last term. It is a great class without stress or worry. You have the usual DBs and assignments but they are not difficult, the content is pretty interesting, too. Really, this is the best nursing class offered at UTA. I think you will like it. Please let me know if I can help you in anyway.

I am taking it. I had thought I read it was the hardest class offered! I am glad to hear it is not the case!

I will be starting as well! Hear this is a good one with is nice as I will be juggling it with US History and Poli Sci for a few weeks!

I am attempting to purchase my books for this course and I don't want to order them from UTA this time. Last term I ordered a book from them for $89.99 and then found the same book on ebay for $3.99. Pls provide the title of the book along with the ISBN number if you can. Thanks so much!

i took Health Promotion along w/ Hist II and it was fine. I don't know about taking Poli Sci, too, as you are doing. Is it Hist II? If so, that class is a lot of work; didn't have to take Hist I, but heard it requires somewhat less. Anyway, Health Promotion is a great class; assignments are not too time-consuming. That's why it's a good one to pair w/ something that is work-intensive.

Are we talking about Health Promotion Across the LifeSpan? if so, there are not textbooks for the class. You will have to read a book for the book report assignment. We had a choice between 2, so you will have to look at those and see which you want to read and subsequently write about. Check the syllabus just to make sure they haven't changed the class since I took it, although I just finished it in May of this year.

Oh, yes, we also had to view a movie and i believe they do change these from time to time, so check the syllabus to find out which one it is for you. We had to watch Freedom Writers, which I purchased on Amazon.
