Has anyone every taught health occ classes? It would consist of juniors and senior high school students. Pay is $230 a week. Not sure if I should try it or not.

DO IT!!!! Give yourself a change of pace and teach a class. You might really, really enjoy teaching.

They surely must already have a developed curriculum so all you would need to do is familiarize yourself with it, present it, and enjoy!

I taught some classes in a small for-profit business school. It was to prepare adult students for careers in the healthcare industry (medical records, medical billing & coding, transcription, front office, etc). I also taught community Red Cross CPR/First Aid.

Business school = piddley-poo wages; Red Cross = volunteer.

Teaching in both programs was one of the most enjoyable times in my long career. Students in those classes, for the most part, are there because they WANT TO BE THERE. A motivated audience. Makes a world of difference!

I'm envious!!!

I agree with amoLucia there is likely a set of objectives for each part of the curriculum. It sounds like you just need to dig into the goals and objectives. It would be helpful if you could locate a person to help navigate the modes of instruction. A learning assessment would be helpful to determine how the students in the class learn. Are they visual, auditory, etc learners? That is where I get excited because of the many internet features that address the multi media offerings for learning.
