Hi everyone, I am currently taking prereqs for the ADN program at HCC. I am almost done with my associate's so I can do a BSN program as well, but my focus is HCC. I know it's kind of early but are there any HCC fall 2020 future applicants? HCC's deadline is strange lol I have everything completed this Winter, but because the deadline for spring 2020 was August, I'm too late to apply.? It's ok though because things always happen for a reason! I just pray I get in! My ADN PROGRAM grades are as follow:
AP1: B
AP1LAB: A
AP2: C >.> ? NEEED TO RE-TAKE LOL
AP2 LAB: PENDING
MICROBIOLOGY: A
MICRO LAB: A
ENGL 1: A
HUMAN GROWTH: A
Psych: A
I have yet to take the HESI because I'm not done yet BUT my projected completion day will be around January.
I will update in spring 2020 when I am ready to submit the application! ?
Question: Do I HAVE to re-take AP2? I will if I have to though
@mbg84 I received the letter of intent but I am not sure if that's the same acceptance letter, I am confused, but it did show the orientation day for June 20 I think.
I am sorry July 20, but I received that before completing Castle Branch.
I haven’t even received the code for castlebranch yet.. but that’s probably because I applied April 1st on the deadline. Do you guys think I should be worried yet? Or maybe they’re just running behind due to COVID-19?
I received the student letter of intent with orientation date but IDK if that acceptance or not. I know someone who’s in the program now and the only thing she told me was upload everything I have that’s it.
@Najimo on the letter I think it says that the student will receive final decision by July20. I believe they will start notifying students on April17 -July 22

Hello everyone, I received the letter of intent too to sign but I did not receive an orientation date I don’t believe. Was that emailed?
Hey y’all. I had to turn in my application without the HESI because of covid19 closures. I was still able to submit my application. It still says advisor review..... my nerves are through the roof. I don’t understand how this is going to work since I am unable to take the HESI???
I'm not sure how hcc does their acceptance process ... from what I cant tell my application # was in the 700s and I think it's in the 1500s plus now .. and if I am correct... it seems like everyone who qualified are over 500+... and we all got the letter of intent accepted... I remember they said they will score us base off of grades/tests by a point system and from the top down they will rank us. and take the top-down approach... so basically they're just gathering as many people who qualified and pick from there... through the letter of intent ... so we're not really accepted until their ranking/selecting us from their pool ... they're confusing us by giving us orientation dates, even though they're not done w/ the final selection/acceptance. Also, most places/schools don't require bon/health insurance/etc until you're really accepted into the program ... I think they're trying to cover everything before they make that final decision. it's my opinion and I don't know for sure. hope someone from the previous semester can answer it more clearly. this waiting game is annoying
