HCA Grow Your Own ADN program

Hello! I wanted to know if there is anyone out there going through EL Centro/ HCA's grow your own ADN program. I currently work for HCA and I finish my pre-req's next semester:w00t:. I wanted to know if the program is worth signing my first 2-3 working years to HCA.

Thanks!I work at medical center of lewisville and medical center of plano but i am almost done with my pre-reqs i have 2 left that i will do in the spring and be finished by the fall to apply. I am going to take my hesi in 3 weeks and as of right now all my support classes are done and my pre-reqs that are done is a 3.0 GPA when i finish those other two im hoping will be a 3.3. I am very nervous about the hesi what types of things were on the hesi and how easy was it for you because an 89 is very good!! Can you give me any tips on getting a good score on the hesi? do you know how many applicants there were to choose out of? How many students are in your class? Sorry for all the questions im just so nervous and i really want to get in..lol

Do you have the Hesi Study guide book? if so, just study that and you will do fine. The questions were very close to whats in the book and very basic. You will do fine. As far as I know we had about 11 applicants and there are now 8 poeple in our class. from what I heard the reason they did not get in is because they did not have all of the classes completed. They are usually strcit on that now because they want you to focus only on the clinical and lecture classes while in the program and not other ones.

As long as your classes are done and you meet the El Centro requirements you will be fine. I dont mind the questions. Sorry it took me so long to reply. Good luck and let me know if you need anything else.

Yes i do have the book so i will study my tail off! So how many hours per week did you work at the hospital when u got accepted?
