HBU Nursing program spring 2015

Published

Hey guys! Just wondering if anyone else has applied to the HBU nursing program for the spring of 2015? I'm so excited and nervous! Does anyone have an idea of the usual scale of GPAs or Hesi scores that are accepted at HBU?

Congrats to those who were accepted! I haven't received my letter, yet.

I've been chosen as an alternate! I just accepted the offer! I still have a chance!! :):nurse:

I was chosen as an alternate as well!!!

I hope we make it in!!

I was chosen as an alternate, too.

Congrats ladies!! I'm sure there will be a few students who decline their acceptance and choose other schools. I could not imagine the stress of having to wait even longer!! Still crossing my fingers and praying for y'all. Keep me posted

I searched online how many people are chosen as alternates and a post from an All Nurses 2013 thread for HBU stated that only 10 are chosen. I hope that's true. I accepted my alternate letter as soon as I read it. I'm keeping up the wishful thinking for us alternates :)

I have also heard that about 10 students are wait listed! And hopefully since its a small list then we will all be accepted! Praying for us all and that we are placed where God wants us to be! If we aren't, then it will all work out in God's plan.

On my letter it stated that I still needed chemistry but I've already taken it. I'm going to make sure they have the correct info when I meet with the advisor tomorrow. Did anyone else have any discrepancies on their letter?

I got accepted into hbu and PV for spring 2015 but I am confused on what I should do.

What are your options? What are you confused about?

As of now my options are HBU and Prairie View. I have to make a decision soon and I dont know which one to select. HBU is overall a better school but it is much more expensive and requires you to take 9 hrs of their liberal arts classes in order to graduate.

I am also waiting to hear back from Uthsc.

PV is a good school and you're right - a lot less expensive and you don't have to take any more classes.

Since you have more than one option then I'd definitely consider PV.
