Well, here's my promised update. The HR person called me this morning. I was accepted into their scholarship program. :) She told me that everyone was very pleased with my paperwork and credentials. She said she will be sending out a contract for me to read over and sign. Now I just have to sign up for an additional credit hour to give me full time status (a stipulation of the program). I have to send them a copy of my bill when I get it, and they'll send me a check for my entire tuition. I am so excited! :balloons:
congradulations!!!! you must be so relieved to have your tutition taken care of. i just sent my signed contract back today with my current bills(uniforms, books, admission fee etc). that is where i need the most help-all these pre-school costs.
i've been praying that god will deliver you and he did! :balloons:

The scholarship I was awarded from local hospital will pay $2000 per semester/quarter up to 4. You agree to work 6 months for each semester/quarter you receive money from them. I will be in school for 4 quarters, so I am receiving $8000. Therefore, I will work 2 yrs at this hospital. They sent the checks each quarter directly to me for tuition, living expenses, etc. Of course, it is going toward tuition unless I get another scholarship from an organization.

Congratulations to you!!! God always has a plan for those who keep the faith and hang in there.I was curious what kind of scholarship program do you have at your school and how does it work exactly??

It's sort of comforting to know that others have been in the same boat and got positive results. :) I will be anxious all week until I get that phone call. Fortunately, I have a lot going on to distract me.
I do believe it will work out if it is "meant to be". I almost didn't apply to nursing school, because I didn't know how I would pay for it. Since I applied, everything - from getting accepted into the nursing program to signing up for prereqs - has fallen into place for me. I have started to believe there is some divine intervention at play.
Thanks for the encouragement. I will be sure to give you an update when I find out.
