Has being a nurse made you examine your own spirituality?

Published

I've been thinking about this more lately as I am graduating soon, and learning more about death. I'm not a hugely religious person, I don't go to church, but am starting to feel like I need/want to return to it. I feel that getting back in touch with my spirituality may help me cope with / feel more at peace with death in general...

Oh, yeah. I see a big difference between religion and spirituality. I've been hanging around with psychics and people who are into metaphysics for a long time. I've been meditating (learned transcendental meditation in my early 20s) for a long time. I could talk to you for hours about my spirit guides and what they have taught me about spirituality. I don't usually mention this kind of stuff on the forums because I know that it does offend some people. I do believe all life is precious and I do not believe in the death penalty as a result of my spiritual beliefs. I see each person as being on a path of spiritual learning and I think that helps to tolerate some of the bad behavior we sometimes experience from them. I believe we are each here to ultimately learn spiritual lessons. It is not my role to interfere with what you are doing here unless it interferes with the health, safety and welfare of another person.
