Has anyone tried the ncsbn program called learning extension?

I would like to know how it is structured and what you personally thought of it.

I took kaplan so I was wondering if it is similar to kaplan?

thank you for your input.

To Hugmebaby 72,

Specializes in icu.

bummer! i dont have any of that so i dont know really what you guys are talking about.. but i do have only the print outs that my genuin friend gave me...

ho man..

Which is better kaplan trainer or ncsbn learning ext?:argue:

NCSBN is much better. They teach you about content. Kaplan does not. I'm doing the ncsbn as we speek. As far as i know everyone that did the website passed. I wish i used that website before i took my neclex the first time. While doing the questions on that website i saw the same questions and answers that i had on my state board. It worth the money TRUST ME you'll be glad that you did. :yeah:

I did used NCSBN online review as well. But I didn't read every content. I just answered the questions after each topic. But it is a good review. Although I concentrate more on saunder's and lacharity.

i would recommend ncsbn online for the first time test takers.

i passed mine on the first try, but not because of ncsbn alone...i used other resources as well. ncsbn in itself has an organized contents and topics from different areas such as cardiovascular, respiratory, gastro-intestinal, genito-urinary and so on. you can use this among others because this for me is the perfect guideline on what topic i have covered so far and what i haven't. ncsbn is not as expensive as the kaplan online, so it's also affordable for many.

but just a reminder to all, ncsbn according to many are the ones making the exam or questions for the nclex. we might be misled. though they are of the same company maybe, ncsbn. ncsbn learning ext online does not endorse their product as related or in any way having to do with the ncsbn nclex. from what i understood, ncsbn stands independently from ncsbn online review.

in the same way, i used exam cram nclex-rn 2nd edition by wilda rinehart & others, published by pearson education (they got the same logo with pearson vue). we are testing under the pearson vue, but the book itself doesn't claim or endorse any participation to pearson vue testing center. meaning, they may be in one company but stands independently and of different purposes.

Thank you,,, I'll be using learning ext on december:specs:What did you do in the last 1-3days before your exam??Do you still answer questions?

hi graeyze!when are you going to take the exam?im just starting to do the NCSBN review and havent got the Saunders 4th edition yet i am working on it...well, as for my part i am a foreign educated nurse and i have earned my licensed in the philippines as well as in middle east but now working on my nclex since i have moved here in CA, well as for my personal experience few days before your exam it would be helpful to do relax yourself watch a movie or anything that you find relaxing before your big day so you will feel all refreshed once you sit for the exam...well, best of luck for us both with our Nclex preparation may we all do well...and licensed RN's here in the states.:D

Maybe on January 23,2009:roll so hows the learning ext??? Im from Philippines too,,, When will you take your exam??

If you are wanting to do Suzanne's plan then you shouldn't be using any other programs. I would seriously re think on what you are going to do.
