Has anyone tried ‘Legal Nurses Rock’ LNC program?

Published

I’ve been looking at avenues to use my clinical Nursing knowledge (9 years in ICU) in a different way. After 2 years in a pandemic and two kids under 3 at home, I need more work life balance.

Legal nurse consulting seems like a great option for me and the ‘Legal nurses rock’ program looks pretty comprehensive. I don’t love that they’re not transparent about their price (I STILL can’t find a price without arranging a ‘call’ with them) and I can’t find reviews online about the program. These both seem like red flags to me.

Has anyone tried this program and give insight about it? Are there any legal nurses out there with recommendations about which program to start with and how to get marketing included in it?

Thanks in advance!

I’m also curious! I’d love to leave the bedside and was wondering how your business is going as a result of the program.

Hi Everyone!

I started Janice’s program on September 2021. I signed up for both Mastery and Biz Growth. I had been looking into LNC programs since 2010, when I became an LVN. I was subcontracting as a DME observer for a LNC back then that is why it peaked my interest.

Over the years, I inquired to about 13 different  programs including prices. I would say, considering current cost of living and inflation rates, LNR is the best bang for your buck. You will be taught how to write reports that you can actually show as work products.

I’m my experience, Janice has never pushed any products on me. She recommends certain subscriptions. I deviated from her recommendations and boy was that a big mistake. I learned to to follow her system as it will save me time and money. She is very supportive and motivational. I am 6 months in this program and already made what I have paid for the program and my supplies and subscriptions. I am already making a profit. Hope this review helps.

Hi, I am currently researching her program and am wondering what your thoughts are now? It looks like you’re probably about 7mo into it?  I am wondering how you are making your profit? Are you working for yourself?  I am so ready to commit but nervous about leaving that every 2 week paycheck!! Also, what state are you in? I am in Ca.  Thank you

Thanks so much for that info! When I found Janice I actually found a forensics nurse that runs a company in the SF Bay Area where I am, and reached out to her for mentoring. She wasn’t mentoring but hired me to train as a forensics nurse with her and it’s been really fun learning from her. I really don’t like the MLM vibe and don’t have facebook anymore so I haven’t explored those and was already wary of them.

Through the AALNC I’ve found two other LNCs with 20+ years experience that have been SO kind and helpful which has been so refreshing and more than I expected.

I’ll check out the WVUOV chapter too! I joined the BACNC chapter but that’s nice to know that we can network within others. Networking and marketing are not things that come naturally to me so I appreciate the tips ?

thank you!

This sounds awesome! Are you still training as a forensic nurse?

Hi! She got back to me pretty fast when I requested info initially. The cost of the mastery class was around 5k and the mastery and business portion were around 9-12k for a year of mentoring and all of the classes.

I’ve heard mixed reviews about the program and still haven’t signed up for it yet. Best of luck to you!

What is holding you back from signing up? I am actively researching this and her program, and am so ready to commit….BUT I just want to do some research and find some people that have completed her program.  I’m assuming you are in Ca because of the forensic nurse trining in SF… I am also in the Northern Ca, so as a nurse it’s easy to make $85-150/hr… so I am just having a hard time stepping back from that every 2 week paycheck/benefits/401K etc…. I find Janice to be so motivating and inspiring, but I am just really needing some info on how exactly the next couple years will look financially!! I am wondering how long it takes to start making a steady income and it sounds like the course is self paced for 6wks….but like how many hours a day is that…

So many questions!! LOL.  Looks like you are also trying to research the same topics ?

I’m still working with the forensic company!

I’m also in the Bay Area near SF and I hear you about walking away from the bedside wages. For me the ICU burnout is real. I’m currently on maternity leave and earlier in the year I was trying to see what I could do without a program like Janice’s. I was able to get a case but I need help getting more consistent clientele. The price point of her program is also a factor and I want to make sure that if I'm dropping that much cash that it’s worth it.

Hi Guys,

I know I am late but I am also looking into Janice's program as well. How did you guys get your first case after her program? I am also looking into Tara Godoy program. Does anyone know her and take her class as well? Thanks!

Hi everyone. I have ICU, PACU, & G.I. & cardiology experience. I currently have a cushy, flexible, & good paying RN position, but I am looking for a side hustle and leaning towards LNC and thinking about pursuing it through Legal Nurses Rock. The reviews I’ve seen are from the facebook website (obviously very biased) and from here (mostly positive reviews.)

To the people that are currently in or have finished the program- are you guys able to find work? If so, how did you find work? Did you numerous cold callings/emails? Do you have your own business or are you employed directly  by a consulting firm? Was it hard to find work?

I plan on doing both courses which was quoted as $12K. How much additional money have you guys invested on top of Janice’s program? How much money are you guys making?

-Thanks in advance

I got ripped off by this program. Spent money on sessions that I was supposed to be able to access online but then was not ever able to access then would regularly get emails from  the proprietary asking for more money. When I pushed back she started sending me hostke emails saying that when she prayed to Jesus he told her that I was not meant to be in the field and that I needed to be grateful and count my blessings. Whatever that means. I guess it means be grateful that I was out the initial $497 which coincidentally the exact amount she again asked for for an application fee. She's a rip off. Stear clear!
