Has anyone taken on line course "NSCBN"?

Hi all. We were wondering if NCSBN on line course would be worth taking for a review? Could someone please give us some feed back on this course? Interested in purchasing.

Yeah, I've taken the NCSBN course. Very short, I only used it for the test bank questions.

For something written by the NCSBN, they have pretty bad grammar, spelling, and punctuation. But they do reference their answers with two sources, so it seems much more legit than Kaplan's test bank. I dunno. The questions seemed pretty easy. Some people say that Kaplan is more aligned to NCLEX, while other say NCSBN and ATI questions are more aligned...to each his/her own, I suppose.

I can't say much about the efficacy of NCSBN until I take the NCLEX today in 3.5 hours. Wish me luck! I will report back promptly.

Well thanks for your :twocents: SoCallMatt... I really appreciate your response, just wondering because you don't really hear the hype about the writter of boards on line course. I pray that you ace that baby. I am rooting for ya! :p

Thanks smith1! I PASSED! I just got home from taking the NCLEX-RN. Stopped at 75 questions in 45 minutes.

FELT GREAT.

Did the PVT trick when I got home. Good pop-up as suspected! YAY!

Awesome!! Congrats!! I'm using NCSBN now (in addition to a few other sources) and have mixed feelings about it. I'll let you know how I feel about it once I take the NCLEX, lol

Well, I can understand where the mixed feelings may come in from because the questions aren't exactly written with perfect grammar or spelling or punctuation. but the nice thing is, i feel like they're more accurate than Kaplan questions because each NCSBN question has 2 sources that back up the right answer.

do post your reviews here. i'll be checking on this thread frequently since i'm choosing what to get as supplemental review.

NCSBN Learning Extension or Davis Q&A 2010 Ed.?

i would really like to know the content of both review material on which one is easier to understand.

Well it's true,Socal, that NCSBN does have good references and I have not come across any factual errors. However the answer rationales are lacking. Otherwise that questions are good. I plan on doing a more comprehensive review once I've taken my NCLEX and have some perspective and TIME.

Godfather, I would get NCSBN for the test bank but the review part isn't that great. It's OK, I went through half of it, but there are just better sources out there. Saunders is the best as far as content review. I don't know anything about Davis 2010 but I heard it's good. Of course I still have to pass the test so take my reviews with a grain of salt:D

OK. So the content is not good enough eh, good thing i got my Saunders. :)

What can you say shockable_rhythm about the questions on NCSBN, are they almost like the actual NCLEX questions?

Yeah man, review 'till we can't take it anymore then nail that damn exam. Seriously. Reviewing for me is the most laziest thing to do. I'm just freaking tired of reviewing. :eek::eek:
