Has anyone heard from University of Cincinnati's admissions FNP summer 2016 start?Accepted

Has anyone heard from the University of Cicinnati FNP Program for summer 2016 acceptance or denial? My application was submitted for review on November 17, the advisor said it could take 6-8 weeks, not including the holiday time .... I was just wondering if anyone else knew anything. Thank you

Back when I got accept to their AGNP program it seemed to me that it was closer to the 8 weeka

Have you heard anything back yet? I'm anxiously waiting to hear something also

Yup....After multiple phone calls, and finally one to the main campus, I was denied. They gave no reason "to protect the integrity of the committee". But I did find out that they use a cumulative GPA and when I was getting my associates degree 10 years ago, I had teenagers in sports, a husband that didn't work and I worked full time plus over time. My goal at that time was to just get through , so my GPA was 2.8, that combined with my BSN of 3.18 is 2.99, and since they are "very competitive", and I had shining reference letters and goal statement and 30 years of Critical Care and ER experience, Im thinking it was the GPA and perhaps my age..... Who knows ...... I see it as their loss. Have you heard anything yet? Good luck!

No haven't heard much. Was just told that they are just starting to review apps again now since the holidays. Said they probably won't send out official letters until march :/. It's frustrating to say the least. I'm sorry you didn't get in. You're right it's their loss! Don't let this stop you!

Absolutely not!!! Lol!! I've already been accepted to Chamberlain College and South University, I know they are "for profit" but tuition is not much more than UC. I have a couple friends who have graduated from Sputh and one who is currently attending Chamberlain with nothing but good things to say about both. I'm from Cincinnati so that's where my heart is, that's why I applied there... So, their loss... I wish you good luck! Let me know how it goes!

Hey guys,

I am sorry to hear that Berylb, best wishes to you! Chamberlian sounds like a good school. I know of one person who went there and loved it. As for, South University, I can't comment on because I've never heard of it before, until Allnurses.com.

Has any one heard anything yet? Also, do any of you know how the part-time schema work, with the FNP program at UoC?

I heard back about a month after the application was complete and submitted for review. Im doing WHNP the part time schedule not sure about FNP

Trina0606,

Congrats! My application was submitted for review on 2/11/16, so hopefully I will get something in the next week or so.... :nailbiting:

For the part-time schedule, does UoC have a minimum amount of class you have to take per semester or a sequence of classes you have to follow?

Thanks

Seaweed

I heard back about the CNM program this week and was accepted for Summer 2016!

Congrats Motheringheart16! May I ask, when did you get the "Application Completed" notice? I applied to the FNP track. The enrollment advisor stated that I should hear something within 6-8 weeks and the wait is killing me!

Hey guys,

Quick question, does UoC, still have the interviews as part of their application process?

Thanks,

Seaweed
