Has anyone heard of or worked for prime staffing out of New York City? Are they reputable? They service New York Presbyterian Hospital and other hospitals in the New York metro area. Thanks for all responses.

Yes I and several of my other travel friends were unfortunate victims of this disgraceful company. I only completed one assignment with them because the hospital I worked for before with Cross country decided to switch to Prime only to switch back a couple months later which prevented me from extending my contract with the hospital. I was stuck in NYC for two weeks and was told by my recruiter to stay because they had another assignment for me. Everyday I called them for an update and it was the same response, "They were working on it." I tried to be as patient as possible but then a week and a half later they spring on me that I needed to pay 500$ for each week I was there which basically cost me my entire last paycheck. From the start it has been a living nightmare. I should have known not to get involved but I needed the job. My start date was delayed a week, other's have had their start dates delayed 2-3 weeks. I was given a crappy apartment with brown water coming out of the faucets, third hand furniture which ended up attacking me viciously my 4th week there. I ended up getting attacked by bedbugs. Which I believe were in the sofa because I had been getting bites since I moved in and requested a new sofa but was blown off. I moved to a nicer place but had to replace my clothes, luggage, towels for none of which was reimbursed because they claim that the apartment was clean. Oddly enough since I've moved out of that place I haven't experienced one bite and my allergies have "magically" disappeared. When I was there I was suffering with severe allergies, my eyes were killing me and my sinuses were clogged.
I finally had enough when they tried to set me up with a home healthcare job which ended up not being what they promised. So if you do work with Prime Staffing, take everything they say with a grain of salt. Get everything in writing and just be careful. They are the worst, most disorganized company I've ever worked with.

Wow... that's pretty crappy! Holy cow... I've never heard of them but will keep that in mind when I'm in the NYC area.

I went to pime staffing recently and I really thought that I got the job but its been 3 weeks already and he hasn't contacted me as yet every time I call they tell me they're still waiting on a response from the people. Could you specifically tell me what happened to make them not as good?

If that wasn't specific, I don't know what is.....

I am a NYS RN and have worked for Prime for a while. The posting from symphonious seems like a disgruntled employee...anyone who spends that much time writing...well...
Prime placed me at my current job (top NYC hospital) and have always been consitent and reliable. I'm happy to refer them!

Goodness grief? Anyone else. I just applied there and was told the same thing. lmao! If it is too good be true, it isn't. Better move on I guess. =/
I would just like to say that they just send me SPAM emails. How anyone gets work here, beats the hell out of me. Lastly, you can see a bad response from a nurse on Google. Just a FYI. When I asked them to stop emailing me, I still get them.

I have just finished a contract with this agency and can confirm that there are numerous problems. I would not recommend them at all.
