Has anyone heard from the John Muir New grad program?

Published

I'm curious if anyone applied to the John Muir Walnut Creek program earlier this month and if so, have you heard anything back ?

I know that they canceled the program in Concord but were keeping the program open in Walnut Creek. I have no idea how many positions will be in the Walnut Creek program as the recruiter wasn't sure when I last spoke to her.

Anyhow, any info anyone has would be appreciated. I'll post as soon as I hear anything as well.

Good luck with the job hunt everyone!

Hi all,

I had my panel interview yesterday and due to a bad case of nerves forgot to ask when they would be contacting selected candidates. It went okay and I agree with the others who have posted re: the panel interview. The questions were pretty basic - it really does seem like they're going on personality at this point.

Does anyone know when they will announce their decisions?

It was my understanding that they were going to be making their decisions in the last week of December, but I can be wrong.

Did anybody get a thick envelop from pre-employ.com with a copy of their background check?

Stay positive and hopefully good things will happen for us in 2010.

Best Wishes!

I received the amazing news that I was offered a position in the PCU yesterday! I am in shock! I got a hint of this possibility early in the day when the company that runs the background check gave me a call to ask for my birth date - so I think if they run a background check this is probably a good sign.

I wish everybody the best of luck! When I spoke to the recruiter yesterday she said they'd be calling this week and next.

Congratulations decnewgrad! I am waiting to hear back from them as well and received a phone call from them earlier in December asking for my birthday. I really hope this is a good sign like you said. Good luck to all the other applicants waiting to hear back. Hope to meet some of you in the future if all goes well :)

The nicest "you didn't get the job" letter arrived in my email yesterday....was expecting and was realistic about my chances especially since I didn't precept there.... but that background check made me more hopeful than I would've been. Later I found out that they advance more than needed to back ground check just to make sure they have an adequate pool. Am looking forward to hearing that some of my cohorts who are employees did get in--will make me feel more hopeful. For now I will focus on NCLEX and try to stay positive. Wishing the same for all.

Many blessings on your journey!

Got the same "Dear Jane" email and was disappointed, but knew it was a long shot. They had so many applicants for so few positions. Getting a job in California/ Bay Area is going to be difficult. I too am going to focus on the NCLEX, which I take next month, and then worry about job hunting. I just may end up having to move or go out of state.
