Has anyone gone through the Kaiser background check?

So I just applied for a Kaiser advice nurse position. So far, so good, I've passed the triage test and the customer service test, but my background check is still pending. My background is clean except for some speeding tickets. It seems to be taking forever! Also, they outsource the background check to LexisNexis and I swear every day they're asking me to send them a copy of a W2 or paystub for jobs that I've had years ago. Luckily I still have my W2s and some paystubs, but I can't figure out why they need all this stuff. Has anyone else gotten a job with Kaiser recently? Is the extensive background check normal? I'm getting nervous even though I know I have nothing to hide!

It is not week 5. The background check is 'Still Processing.' Has anyone else experienced this with Kaiser? Why five weeks? Every other major medical corporation is two max. Anybody?

I am going through the process for a temporary ed tech position. I asked my contact with hr if I should just send everything in cause these people are dragging their feet. She told me not to and to wait. Few hours later I get an email asking for more documents. I had to tell them I need to know now what else needs to be submitted. I'm still working full time and don't have unlimited free time to track down papers for them. What kind of bg check company can't verify employment.

My Kaiser background check for an RN position just cleared. It took 2 weeks and during that time I had to share past W2s, 1099s and paystubs. I was really surprised at how intense it was. They said they went back 7 years. My advise to you if you’re applying for Kaiser... make sure EVERYTHING on your application and resume is super accurate, and have the hard evidence to back it up!

I know this thread is old but I thought I would throw my 2 cents in as I am in the process of pre employment with Kaiser..it has been almost 4 weeks now and my background is still not complete. I have lived in the same place for decades, have no criminal record, etc so at the most I would've thought a week, 2 weeks tops. The start date is contingent upon the completion of the background so I'm still in a holding pattern.

 I have had many background checks done and none have taken this long or the progress been kept "secret"  The recruiter tells me "it's processing" the company itself tells me they can't give me information per Kaiser policy. It's one big circle.

Others on this thread referenced lexis nexis but the company they are using now or at least for mine is "First Advantage". I looked up the company and am even more concerned now after reading all the awful reviews about FA and their being sued for inaccurate reports etc. 

It's reached the point I am interviewing for other positions starting later this week because I can't keep waiting with no end date in sight for a FT position - even for Kaiser.
