Specializes in Emergency.

So I am a traveling nurse and have always dreamed about working at mcmurdo station in antarctica. I have tried to find out where to apply online but I always get redirected to a hundred different sites and never get a real answer. Any ideas? Thanks

Ha! If you do end up working somewhere like that I hope you'll post because I would LOVE to read about it!

Same! Good luck!!

Specializes in CCM, PHN.

I have applied and interviewed, and was offered a position a couple of years ago. Life got in the way and I couldn't commit to the contract.

Check out Raytheon Polar Services. Just FYI, you need experience, no evidence or history of psych issues, and be able to make a 9-12 month commitment. Good luck!

Oops I guess Raytheon's contract ended with the USAP. Go to the USAP's website, their new medical contractor is PHI.

The medical provider is UTMB and not PHI. PHI is the contracted helicopter operator in Antarctica for USAP.

Can you tell me about what the interview process was like and what credentials you had before you applied?! Thank you, sorry you were not able to go. It is a big commitment and I'm hoping in a year or two I can qualify.

Thanks
