Has anyone ever traveled with NovaPro!?

Published

I'm considering beginning my career in travel nursing and trying to figure out which company I should travel with. I work on a peds neuro/neurosurgery/medicine/rehab floor in the top 5 Children's hospital in the US. I've worked there for almost a year and a half now. I want to begin traveling in peds starting in april 2010. I have a colleague of mine who is traveling with NovaPro in LA right now and she has had a very positive experience so far. Has anyone else traveled with them? Do you like it?

Any suggestions? Comments?

Thanks guys!

Happy Turkey day! :)

I have not but I know someone who is on an assigment with them right now and she also has nothing but good things to say! They pay awesome for one and her experience with them has been good in the past b/c she has traveled with them before. I don't know much else but I do know that I want to travel with them next. :yeah:

Specializes in PEDS, Heme/onc, Nephrology.

I've done 2 assignments with them in the past. They were pretty good at returning phone calls and patience with all my questions and most important pay was always on time. best thing about them is they now have the tax advantage program. I really suggest them especially if it's your first travel job. Cross Country is their sister company they also have the tax advantage program.

I am talking with NovaPro now about a possible assignment, and they have been very pleasant and thorough so far.

Specializes in Tele, Medsurg, Stepdown.

I'm traveling in NYC with NovaPro; like someone else said, they are very good about calling you back, pay is on time and correct, and the housing was even better than I expected.

Needless to say I'm satisfied so far.

I am an RN home health nurse looking to start travel nursing....is nova pro a good agency or I'm up for suggestions and tips regarding home health travel nurse

Tips about home health are probably best found here (should be some travelers there):

Going there to get the link I found this recent thread you may want to chime in on:

Large agencies such as Cross Country (who owns the Nova Pro brand - all the same assignment database) or American Mobile will have the greatest number and variety of home health assignments. That said, there will be many agencies of all sizes you can pick from too. But really, the agency brand is not as important as your relationship with your recruiter. The best way in my opinion to find the best 3 to 5 recruiters for you (I recommend having options) is to talk to a dozen or so agencies and pick the ones you communicate well with and trust. A good recruiter at a bad agency is far better than the reverse - don't worry about the agency name or reputation as much as the recruiter.
