Has anyone done George Washington University Online Program?!?!

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

Hi I was wondering if anyone has actually started or finished GWU Online Family Nurse Practitioner program and could give me any insight into how the program was? I was also curious if anyone did the program and was an out of state student (not in the DC/Virginia area) and how it went for you? Thank you!

Specializes in CEN, SCRN.

Reading through this thread, I haven't seen one person get turned down. Everyone has been accepted, and some with less than one year of nursing experience. I am curious as to what the pass rate is for board certification after graduation for the different tracks GWU provides.

Don't get me wrong, it is still a school in my list of alternates for application, but some of this makes me scratch my head and wonder.

Did they send you an email or something in the mail?

They sent me an email. I applied in July though, NursingCAS seems to take forever. Good luck!

I get what you're saying but I feel the type of person to apply to GWU or any NP program is highly motivated and has a least a 3.0 gpa or higher since that's what you need to pass nursing school. GWU is one of the top ranked nursing schools too. I think I saw on the American Academy of NP's website that the initial pass rate of the FNP exam was 87.5% in 2014 but I don't see anything for specific schools like w/the NCLEX. If you find anything please let us know. :)

I agree too! It seems like from the reviews that this school is a good one. Trust me I did a lot of research before I applied. In this discussion there are a handful of people who are replying to the post. Those people likely meet the requirements or are above the requirements. I feel if you meet the requirements you deserve a shot just as much as anyone else. I hope that I hear soon and have just as good of luck as these others who have gotten in.

Klansdow did You hear anything yet? Just wondering because I haven't heard anything yet.

Received my acceptance! I am about to send in my intent to attend...can't wait to start!
