Has anyone completed their AA in Nursing online?

I was just wondering if anyone had completed their AA Nursing degree online. I don't even know if this is possible, just seems like a good option for my situation, but don't know which sites and schools are reliable.

The only online nursing schools that are legitimately accredited are RN-BSN degrees (RN's getting their bachelors) this is because they don't always require a clinical portion for those programs. For any RN program, it must be on site because you will have lectures, labs, an clinicals held at local health care facilities. It is pretty much impossible for an RN program to b online. Some schools may have some theory-based classes available online but there are only a few of those. The majority of your course work has clinical and lab portions to them. You could take some of your non-science prerequisite courses online such as math and psychology. But your science classes such and anatomy and physiology, microbiology, and chemistry all have required lab components to them so you can't take those online.

Not sure what you situation is, but being in nursing school is like having a full time job. So if you work full time now, you will most likely have to cut back on hours at work. Especially when you start clinicals. Your local community college will have an AA program. Hope this helps!

OP, as the previous poster stated, I doubt there are any Associate degree programs completely online. But you are able to take most ( if not all) of your pre reqs online- including your science courses, if your college has an online science + lab component, mine did and I took Anatomy 1 &2 along with Chemistry online.

You will need to do labs in person and hundreds of hours in clinical placements.These are required in order to get a nursing license.You may be able to do some prerequisites online but much of the actual nursing program has to be done in person.

The Chamberlain Columbus Campus has an online ADN program, however there are still labs done on campus and clinicals nearby.

You may be able to take some of the theory classes online, but there are hours of lab and clinical hours required to become an RN and you can't complete those online. How would you learn skills properly if everything was online? I've heard of a few programs that claim to be all online, but I don't think they're fully accredited and they don't have a good reputation.
